Biographies
Julia Davies
Julia is a freelance medical / scientific editor with 18+ years’ experience in medical communications, medical education, and scientific journal publishing. She has wide-ranging expertise in print and digital outputs. She is also a qualified life coach.
Dr Suzanne Foncin
Suzanne is PharmD, specialised in Risk Management and Benefit Risk strategies, with experience in across several specialised areas including REMS, biologics and medical devices. She is currently Global Patient Safety Leader, looking after safety writing scientists and safety communication managers at GSK. Other areas of technical expertise include Risk Management, Benefit Risk strategies and Signal Management.
Dr Dawn Lobban
Dawn is Co-founder & Managing Partner at Amica Scientific in Stockport, Manchester. Following her BSc in Physiology at Leeds University and her PhD in Biomedical Science at St James’s University Hospital/IRCF, she has held increasingly senior roles across the health communication industry.
Dr Simon Page
Simon is Global Medical Affairs Director and lives in Cambridge. Following increasingly senior roles at Costello and Cambridge Medical communications, he has crossed over to industry and now looks after the field of neuroscience at Ipsen.
Tony Pickering
Tony is a gifted medical illustrator, artist and designer based in Manchester. His interests lie where the comics medium intersects with patient and practitioner experiences to illuminate our understanding of illness. Dr Clive Pritchard
Clive is Principal Health Economist as ICON PLC in Reading. He has worked in various senior roles include as Health Advisor in the Department of Health.
Dr Vicky Sherwood
Vicky is a well-known biopharma careers consultant, trainer and blogger (Biomed Badass). She is currently medical publications manager at Merck.
Eleanor Steele
Eleanor is Director of MedComms Workbook based in London. She is a trainer and mentor to numerous wannabe medical writers. She has extensive experience across the medical communications industry and is kindly co-sponsoring this event.
